Starting high school is a memorable time in every student’s life, but adjusting comes with a mix of emotions. With new environments, teachers, and friends, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed. Luckily for the class of 2028, Sacred Heart Academy has done a wonderful job at welcoming the new freshman in their community.
When talking to the freshman, they always mention how much they love the people here at SHA. There have been a variety of different events that have helped these girls begin to form relationships at our school. For example, many of our sports hold team bonding activities. Between cheerleading’s themed practices, to soccer’s team sleepovers, the girls have had many opportunities to get to know the upperclassmen and students in their own grade.
While the majority of things have been going well, there are still some things that freshmen are struggling with. These problems range from navigating the hallways to managing their time properly. Fortunately, SHA is filled with resources who can help with homework, directions, or any other questions they may have. Groups such as the Peer Connectors, are always willing to help out younger students.
The class of 2028 fits in just right with the SHA’s community. The freshman girls feel they are so blessed to be part of a school filled with strong and resilient role models. Thank you to upperclassmen and teacher for helping the new students adjust to their new school, and good luck freshman with the rest of the year!
