At the start of every new year, we’re all eager to make changes for the better. We establish goals, big and small; so that we can positively improve our lives during the year ahead.
These goals are known as New Year’s Resolutions, and they can be whatever you want them to be. The only thing that matters is that they’re something you have to and want to work toward.
Some people do not have a set goal yet, and some people are continuing to work on goals they’ve had for years. So, what about SHA girls? One girl said, “My personal New Year’s Resolution is to have straight A’s by the end of the year. Even though it seems tough, I’m willing to do what it takes to make it possible.” Other resolutions this year include making the team you tried out for, receiving a 100 on a test, or getting into the college you choose.
I feel it is important for everyone to come up with some set goals this year. Some things to think about when defining your goals:
- What small changes can you make that would impact your everyday life?
- What big changes do you want to work toward?
- What would success look like for you at the end of 2025?
It might seem silly, but it feels nice to have something that you are trying to achieve. It doesn’t need to be anything great; it could be something simple like keeping your planner organized or making it to school on time.
Keep in mind to stay positive: your achievements are a result of your mindset, and if you constantly work hard then they will pay off. I wish everyone good luck and a great rest of the year. Happy 2025!
